Tips contest Betfair

Tipsters are order accordingly to their ROI (Return On Investment). At the end of each month there are promotions and relegations between the two contest.

• Beginners contest:amt
  • Monthly duration;
  • The first 4 of the Beginners contest are promoted to the Professional contest of the next month.
• Professional contest:pro
  • Monthly duration;
  • Minimum guaranteed prize of 30€;
  • The prizes are as follow:

• Every month the Professional contest relegations are:
• the 5 last ranked,
• and the Tipsters that haven't made at least 15 Tips that month.
• Every month the promotions to the Professional contest are:
  • the first 4 ranked on the Beginners contest of the previous month as long as they have made at least 15 Tips,
  • and the best Tipster of the Betfair contest of the last 12 months (as long as he has made at least 15 Tips).
• The Professional contest as always 10 participants and the missing places are filed by this order:
  1. the next ranked tipster accordingly to the ROI on the Betfair contest in the last year (12 months) and that has the minimum amount of tips required,
  2. the next ranked tipster accordingly to the ROI on the Betfair contest in the last month and that has the minimum amount of tips required,
  3. if there still aren't 10 Tipsters on the Professional contest, go back to the 1st step until there are 10.

• Risk limitations and maximum loss per month:
• The Accumulated Risk of every Tipster's Pending Tips can't be greater than 3000%,
• The Tipster Potential loss per monthcan't be greater than 3000% on the Academy global ranking. The Potential loss in a month is the sum of the confirmed loss in a month with the accumulated risk of pending Tips for games occurring that month.
• You can only place pre-live Tips on the games available on our site;
• Tips can be placed on any available Betfair market;
• Tips can only be placed on games that haven't started yet, the market for that game must be available, and the selection must correspond to that market;
• Only a Tip per market of the game is allowed, mas pode-se fazer uma Tip contrária (Lay depois de um Back) para “fechar a aposta” caso te tenhas arrependido ou ganho alguns ticks;
• If a game is postponed for more than 48 hours, all the unsolved Tips of that game will be voided.
• All users can place Tips and win prizes, as long as they have submited their Betfair username on the page "Win Academy points". The best Tipsters are in the Betfair Professional contest;
• A Professional Tipster that doesn't do any Tip on a month, automatically is ranked last.
• For each contest the ROI is calculated using all the confirmed Tips of the month (beginning day 1 at 0h, GMT London);
• You have 24h after the end of the month to verify and communicate any fault in the classification;
• The ROI (Return On Investment) is calculated by the following formula:

  Odd	Won	Loss
  BACK	Trust degree x ( Odd - 1 ) x 100%	- Trust degree x 100%
  LAY	Trust degree / ( Odd - 1 ) x 100%	- Trust degree x 100%
  	Tip maximum profit capped at 400 %

• Tipster ranking tiebreakers criteria:
  1. largest amount of confirmed Tips that month;
  2. raffle.
• The maximum profit by Tip is automatically truncated at 400%. It is allowed to make Tips with odds greater than 5,00 (or less than 1,25 in Lay), but for the Tipster Competitions ranking, if it's a winning Tip, it only counts on 400% profit, which is the equivalent to a Tip of odd 5,00 (or 1,25 to Lay);
• From March 2022, prizes will be paid out in Skrill balance, to deposit and bet at your preferred bookmaker. Prizes must be paid out no later than one week after the end of the month. In case you do not receive the prize, please check if the Skrill transfer is pending and needs to be authorised to be received. If you have not yet submitted your Skrill account to the Academy, please do so on this page "Earn Academy Points".
• After September 2015, all the Professional League prizes are 30€ freebet each, and the order of professional Tipsters will be used only for the purpose of relegation to the Amateur League.
• Note: To receive prizes, the winner must have made at least 1 deposit and 1 bet during the contest month, until the 20th of that month. That is, to receive the March contest prize (which ends on March 31), the winner must have made at least 1 deposit and 1 bet between March 1 and March 20.
• Any omissions in these rules shall be resolved by the OnlineBettingAcademy.com management. The Betting Academy reserves the right to modify the rules of this contest at any time.
